In view of the problem that the terrain aided navigation solution needs to set the filtering parameters according to the resolution of terrain elevation database, this paper proposes a real-time airborne terrain aided inertial navigation system in multi-resolution terrain. The system obtains the terrain elevation data with the highest resolution under the carrier flight in real time through configuration file. The fast adaptability analysis of the planning area is carried out for different resolution terrain data, and the corresponding filtering and divergence parameters are adjusted to improve the applicability of terrain aided navigation system. The simulation test and comparative analysis are carried out by using the actual digital map elevation data and the simulated flight trajectory. The test results show that the system can effectively reduce the time consumption of the adaptability analysis and improve the applicability of terrain aided navigation system.
