Abstract Multimodal transport implies forming the efficient, convenient and safe transportation service network and providing door-to-door logistics service for owners of goods by leveraging the advantages of railway, highway, waterway, and air transportation. In recent years, China keeps optimizing the environment for multimodal transport, improving its infrastructures and upgrading the technological level of rapid-transferring equipment. Step by step, China is establishing the multimodal organizing system featuring integrated service founded on efficient facility connection, rapid transfer at hubs, connectivity and information sharing, and professional standards of equipment.
