Abstract Due to rapid changes in the development of modern automotive systems, the involved development methods, processes, and toolchains are constantly changed, modified, and improved to be able to handle the increasing complexity of the development procedure. In this chapter, the main current challenges in the development itself as well as in the modification of the implied processes are summarized, and both a textual and a graphical overview of the main currently involved tools are given. The provided information can be used for optimal planning of development processes for future automotive systems.
