Quadrotor is an aerial robotic vehicle that can play a pivotal role in areas like medicine delivery, surveillance, and mapping. These unmanned aerial vehicles have a capability to take off and land from compromised areas as well as difficult terrains. Control mechanism and Path Planning form important research areas of Quadrotors. A Quadrotor model is simulated using Simulink. Backstepping controlling method is used to achieve a stable controlled system. Next, Path Planning techniques, A* (A star) and LQR algorithms are implemented for the Quadrotor system. The A star algorithm was able to reach the target even in the presence of obstacles whereas the LQR technique was able to reach the destination in less time in the absence of any obstacles.
