Small ducted aircraft has the general characteristics of vertical take-off and landing, air hovering and makes up for the problem of poor safety of open rotor aircraft. Meanwhile, in comparison to open-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), small ducted-fan aircraft possess relatively inferior anti-interference capability. To improve the anti-interference capability of ducted-fan aircraft, this paper utilizes CFD numerical simulation to investigate the flow characteristics and static pressure distribution variations of the lip in response to crosswind interference. The study focuses on analyzing the influence of lip vortex flow on the aerodynamic characteristics of the duct as well as the overall stability of the aircraft. Ultimately, a control method employing additional flow control devices is proposed to regulate the lip vortex flow and to enhance the inherent anti-interference capability of ducted UAVs, thereby augmenting the control effectiveness of the control system.
