In the electric vehicles’ framework, it is necessary to focus on various aspects. One of these is represented by optimal planning. In this chapter, we focus our attention on the formalization of the joint traffic and energy demandEnergy- demandassignmentAssignment conditions over a traffic network in the presence of electric vehicles. Specifically, we will use the so-called stochastic userSUEStochastic user equilibriumequilibriumStochastic User Equilibrium (SUE) (SUE) conditions to define the steady-state behavior of a generic traffic network where some arcsArc are equipped with EV charging stationsCharging- station (CS). SUEStochastic User Equilibrium (SUE) conditions under different user’s path choice functions will be described, namely the multinomial logitLogit and the multinomial C-logitC-Logit. Finally, the SUEStochastic User Equilibrium (SUE) conditions defined in the previous section will be simulated over a modified Nguyen–Dupuis network.
