Airport gates are scarce and expensive resources in air transportation. Assigning aircraft to gate must consider the profits of airport, airlines and passengers. Based on the passengers’ satisfaction and the efficiency and effectiveness of airport and airline, a multi-objective model was established, and then GATS algorithm combining genetic algorithms with tabu search was given to optimize it. The adaptive weight approach was adopted to evaluate the fitness of each individual, and the crowded-comparison operator was used to guide the selection process and the update of Pareto set. The numerical simulation and comparison of algorithms illustrated the validity of model and effectiveness of algorithm. Those can provide theory and methods supports for airport ground control.
