The array antenna of phased array radar to switch beam quickly and accurately enables the radar to interleave in time and simultaneously perform various functions. This type of radar can also be used as a communication system. By changing the beamwidth of the antenna, certain areas can be searched more quickly with smaller gains. Random variations in the transmitting frequency between pulses or within coding in pulses can cause frequency agility. Multiple amplifiers located in the aperture can produce a large amount of power. The electronically controlled array antenna can provide the required flexibility for the radar to perform various special functions that are most suitable for specific tasks.
