This paper focuses on attitude control problem of autonomous underwater vehicles accompanied by time-varying external disturbances based on event trigger scheme, which is different from the traditional control methods. The event-triggered attitude control can reduce the communication burden between sensor and controller, which can exclude the Zeno phenomenon simultaneously. When communication resources are in short supply, the proposed event-triggered control will play a very important role. Furthermore, the asymptotical stability of the closed-loop system can be certificated through analyzing the constructed Lyapunov’s function. At last, the simulation experiments with respect to autonomous underwater vehicles are carried out to certificate the validity of the proposed event-triggered control.
