As an important embodiment of biological swarm intelligence, wolf pack intelligence generally refers to the emergence of intelligence where individual wolves cooperate to complete diverse collective behaviors through simple behavior and interaction rules. First, the biological behaviors of wolf pack are analyzed, and the internal function mechanisms are explored. Second, based on the consistency of wolf pack and swarm robotics in the simplicity of individual and action rules, the distribution of organizational structure, the flexibility of coordination mechanism and the emergence of system intelligence, the mapping relationship between wolf pack intelligence and cooperative control for swarm robotics is established. Third, the applications of wolf pack intelligence in swarm robotics system are overviewed systematically, such as wolf pack optimization algorithms, group motion control, emergence rule of collective intelligent, and perception and interaction mechanism. Finally, the future research issues of wolf pack intelligence in cooperative control of swarm robotics system are prospected from theory and application.
