Abstract Fuzzy control has become a pervasively popular approach to the task of controller design because of its conceptual simplicity and easy realization but also because of its appealing performance demonstrated in a variety of practical applications. Through extensive and intensive research on the field, remarkable progress has been made in the recent literature. This chapter is aimed at reviewing such research progress and introducing some up-to-date results.
