The primary objective of the maritime navigation system is to ascertain the vessel's position, guiding it safely and reliably to its destination. As such, the positioning error serves as the principal technical metric for gauging the navigation system's performance. However, when measuring navigation signal parameters (such as amplitude, frequency, phase, propagation time, etc.), errors inevitably arise due to factors like navigation equipment and propagation conditions—these are referred to as measurement errors of navigation parameters.
