The lack of communication between vehicles and the increased traffic delays that increase pollution and fuel consumption are the two factors contributing to the rise in road accidents today. A VANET protocol is put in place as a solution to lessen traffic congestion and accidents on the roads. The wireless network between the cars is necessary for the suggested method to work. The device is part of a wireless control node for an intersection that selects the best phases and values for traffic lights. The protocol used in this paper offers traffic fluency as compared to adaptive systems based on the use of cameras. Additionally, a simulator for integrated system validation has been developed for it. The simulation framework consists of a wireless network simulator and an accurate model of vehicle navigation. The suggested method is to set up a working system that can be examined during peak times, and acceptable outcomes are anticipated that will result in a reduction in average delays, pollution, and fuel consumption.
