With the continuous growth of clean energy demand and the increasing need for ocean space development, many countries are focusing on enhancing the functionality of traditional marine structures, presenting new challenges and opportunities in ocean engineering. Against this backdrop, the development of innovative multi-purpose marine structures (MPMS) has been promoted to reduce costs, save space, and provide power for offshore activities. These advantages have made MPMS highly popular in both academia and industry. Recently, there has been extensive research focusing on the fundamental studies, prototype development, and sea trials of MPMS.
