Two methods for diagnosing the technical condition of the synchronous motor-based electric pump unit are discussed, namely, the expert analysis of the diagnostic charts and the method using the artificial intelligence, their advantages and disadvantages are compared. The conclusion was reached that the methods using artificial intelligence are the most optimum approach in terms of time consumption, computing power cost and precision of results.
