Emerging technology in urban transportation is revolutionizing how automobiles interact within smart mobility systems. This chapter explores the complexities of this evolving landscape and introduces innovative techniques to improve dynamic traffic routing, cooperative accident prevention, and adaptive traffic signal control. This chapter studies the integration of advanced technologies such as Dedicated Short-Range Communications (DSRC), 5G, Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs), Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) and Blockchain in a simulated city infrastructure. Dynamic Traffic Routing (DTR) is a proposed method to regularly optimize real-time traffic shapes according to the changing circumstances, whereas Cooperative Accident Avoidance (CAA) enables vehicle communication and coordination to minimize collision risks. Also, ATSC adapts signals in real-time to traffic changes and optimally reduces stoppages on intersections. The study concludes that these innovations could make urban travel safer, more efficient, and more adaptable to evolving traffic demands. The proposed method shows outperformance with 92% increase in Dynamic Traffic and also improved with other parameters evaluation.
