Tram and bus stops play a key role in the functioning of public transport systems. Their condition, functionality and assured safety level are particularly important from the point of view of the assessment of this infrastructure element. The article presents an overview of the methods of assessing stops, the classification of which is based on the defined 5 distinguishing factors of tram and bus stops infrastructure assessment. The high availability of assessment methods from various cities around the world indicates a significant problem related to the possibility of obtaining information on the level of fulfillment of given requirements in a given assessment area. The conducted review shows many similarities between different methods, but also points to areas where certain solutions are lacking in terms of, for example, customization of assessment methods.
