The paper analyses the ignition of propane-air fuel mixtures with different excess air ratios near the discharge initiator antenna by a pulsed subcritical microwave discharge. An approximate model that describes the gas dynamics of combustion with a detailed scheme of chemical reactions, external energy supply, and an additional set of reactions, which take into account plasma-chemical effects, is used for calculations. The distributions of temperature, composition of the medium in the vicinity of the antenna and the component-wise mass flow of combustion products after exposure are presented.
