The issues of providing wireless communication for monitoring the state of vehicles used in transportation of dangerous goods are analyzed. A cyber-physical system is considered that includes heterogeneous networks for monitoring the state of transport equipment carrying dangerous goods and equipped with appropriate sensors. The monitoring system using data networks providing a reliable connection ensures the ability to monitor the state of vehicles in real time. This is made possible by installing an autonomous power supply on each of the tank containers connected to the wireless sensor network and by using internet-of-things telemetry units. An example of using a sensor network for a cryogenic tank container equipped with an autonomous power supply and telemetry system is given. In particular, it is possible, based on the obtained data, to calculate the deviations of the pressure growth rate in the tank container from the nominal value. The widespread use of the proposed technical solutions on various modes of transport will significantly improve the safety of transportation of fire-explosive and toxic cargo.
