Internet of Vehicles brings many benefits to road safety, traffic efficiency, and local services. However, due to inadequate management of nodes by Internet of Vehicles, malicious vehicles could participate in communications with misbehaviours, e.g., dropping packets and spreading fake information. Therefore, it is important to detect misbehaviour of attackers that may destroy functions of network (e.g., taking more time to receive messages or reach destination). This chapter first introduces common attack surfaces and attack methods in Internet of Vehicles. Then, misbehaviour detection mechanisms for attackers in Internet of Vehicles are elaborated. Furthermore, different misbehaviour detection mechanisms are summarized and classified based on their purposes and rules. Finally, remaining issues are discussed.
