Aeronautical meteorological technology is essential for supporting a safe air space and efficient air traffic management. This paper proposed a 4D trajectory prediction-based aeronautical meteorological decision supporting technology, which is based on the concepts of “next-generation” ATC system. This methodology analyzes both dynamic radar track data and weather data around the airways, then generates combined weather images for a certain air space. Empirically, this technology provides an efficient way to decrease weather restriction time, which makes a good effort on reducing flight delays, flight plan coordination and flight routes decision-making to reduce return and alternate.
