The traffic jam is a waste of time and affects productivity. This paper reviews about the recent development in the flying car technology to avoid the traffic jam. The flying car uses various types of materials for its designing purpose, e.g., water absorbing and waterproof fabric, which are useful for vertical takeoff. This new concept was suggested for thrust by Nelson nozzle concept for slow speed. The wireless charging is done by capacitive power transfer (CPT) technology. Fuzzy logic on the other hand is used to design the anti-collision car system. This review paper describes various historical attempts undertaken till today, and these new endeavor are useful to the researchers and industrial experts to expand their domain knowledge to make flying cars affordable to avoid traffic congestion in metropolis. The novelty is that this review paper recommends after extensive study that the proposed flying car can be used for solving traffic congestion problem on land.
