Primary objectives of this thesis are to develop advanced FDD methods for traction systems in high-speed trains, and also to provide both researchers and practitioners in this field with informative guidance. In Chap. 10.1007/978-3-030-46263-5_1, brief introductions on the current FDD techniques for high-speed trains are firstly presented. Motivated by the pros and cons of these developed FDD methods, challenges and promising issues about this thesis are then speculated. In order to achieve real-time FDD for traction systems in high-speed trains, some preferable FDD designs should be developed under the consideration of practical applications.
