In order to simulate the open water performance of the integrated motor propeller, the CFD method is used to simulate the ducted propeller of the small-scale underwater robot. MRF method is adopted to realize the rotating motion of propeller. The hydrodynamic coefficients, the distribution of propeller surface pressure and velocity, and the velocity of propeller tail field are obtained by numerical convergence calculation. The results show that the advance coefficient thrust coefficient and torque coefficient of the propeller decrease with the increase of the rotational speed. When the advance coefficient is low, the reverse thrust coefficient of ducted propeller is about 60% of the forward thrust coefficient, and the reverse torque coefficient of propeller is about 65% of the forward torque coefficient. According to the pressure nephogram of propeller, the pressure at the leading edge of blade is the largest, followed by the pressure at the trailing edge, and a low-pressure area is formed in the middle of blade. This study can provide data for the development and optimization of thrusters.
