Abstract The National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) has been developing the H-IIA launch vehicle, a new two-stage expendable launch vehicle to meet the changing launch demands in the 21st century, with lower costs and higher reliability. Regarding the telemetry and tracking system, three new subsystems have been developed based on our experience with H-II. This paper describes the three new subsystems; a MPEG-I Onboard Monitoring System, a GPS Receiver System for Flight Safety, and a High-rated Data Acquisition System.
