This paper focuses on the problem of event-triggered disturbance rejection synchronization for intelligent vehicles in the leader-follower framework under input saturation constraints. The disturbance observer provides on-line estimations of time-varying ocean disturbances. The external disturbances and input constraints are dealt with simultaneously. The event-triggering avoids wear and tear of actuators and decreases the fuel consumption. The event-triggered disturbance rejection controller realizes the synchronization navigation of leader-follower vehicles and guarantees that all signals in the tracking control system of the follower vehicle are globally uniformly ultimately bounded. Applications on a 1:70 scaled model ship is provided to validate the performance of the control scheme.
