Following the formal analogy between the small perturbation velocity and acceleration potentials, this chapter introduces the doublet solution of the small perturbation acceleration potential equation. In addition, it demonstrates the fundamental relationship between a distribution of doublets over a surface and the pressure jump. That formula has a great importance in the derivation of the unsteady aerodynamic kernel and Doublet Lattice Method.
