The electrical response of a geometrically complex object (e.g. a satellite) to a particular stimulation (e.g. pulsed electric field, pulsed photon-induced SGEMP) can, in principle, be described as a time history of the currents and fields at many points over the object. When studying SGEMP effects on a satellite, we may have available the object's response to many different excitations: various photon sources, electrical tests, computer calculations, etc. The goal is to establish that the satellite on orbit will respond satisfactorily to a variety of threat fluences, spectra, and orientations. The challenge is to manipulate the available data so that a conclusion can be drawn about operational response.
