A summary of array signal gain and patch size is provided in terms of the correlation coefficients used to compute them. Several common expressions for array gain are shown to be equivalent and the latter is described in terms of relationships between the correlation coefficients. Two experimental methods are described, based on the Chernov (1960) model, and patch sizes are obtained from three independent sets of data taken south of Bermuda.
