CEM in cooperation with SESSIA has delivered to the TOTAL Research Center at Gonfreville (near Le Havre), two test banks for motor vehicle endurance tests. The equipment is characterised by a new regulating system which, when using the bank for testing road performance produces remarkable results. An example of test conditions is given. The road profile is summarised in a series of formulae. A testing device ensures speedy control, without the vehicle, of the perfect functioning and the reliability of all the electric and electronic circuits. The equipment and its capacities are described.
