For pt.I see ibid., vol.8, no.2, p.77 (1982). There is much more to the Soviet TacAir, whose equipment and force structures are fast-changing. This analysis reviews the evolution of Russian fighters and avionics; and the present TacAir and new developments are summarized. If aircraft designs followed some of the Soviet production philosophy, the spiraling costs of fighters could be reduced to allow for more aircraft buys in the budget.
