Describes coke oven machine use of quenching electric locomotives planned to be supplied to China Steel Corporation in Taiwan, Republic of China. A unit fabrication and delivery order for two locomotives was proposed to Toshiba from Kobukuro Iron Works, Ltd. Following the fabrication tests finalized in April 1981 and subsequent unit shipment, along with on site reassembling work and test operations for units adjustment, both being conducted from July through August in the same year, the two quenching electric locomotives were delivered to the customer, going into actual commissioning from that date.
