Seven different ablative materials have been tested behind Thiokol TOMAHAWK rocket motors. The maximum erosion, erosion patterns, and the mass loss of the samples have been determined from these tests. In addition, time-dependent temperature profiles were measured in four of the test samples during firing. From these data, local ablation rates for the materials were determined (DePo)
