After a 50-year decline the legislative trys to prepare a comeback for freight transport on the rails. The new deregulation brings benefits especially under the Stangers Rail Act. In the period 1978-1981 the market share grows from 35,6 to 37,7%. The technical development makes the rails to rise the economical efficiency through lightweightcars and better fuel efficiency. The cars built from aluminium are 20% lighter but also 30-40% expensiver.
