Controllable pitch propellers have been increasingly installed in large-sized energy-saving ships since they exactly meet fuel-saving requirement. We recently developed two giant CP propellers for such ships, one is 3-bladed 11m CPP, which is claimed to be the world's largest among exsisting CP and FP propellers. The other is 5-bladed 9.15m CPP, which is also the world's largest among 5-bladed CPPs. These propellers have been designed after extensive studies, manufactured and delivered. Both CPPs have been exhibiting the expected performance since the ships were put into service.
