To offer turboprop engines in power classes that support a variety of aircraft applications, Allison is developing two new turboprop engines in the Model 250 series engine line. The Model 250-B17C/D engines, rated at 420 shaft horsepower (shp), have formed the base for small Allison turboprop engines. The new engines under development incorporate features of advanced shaft engines and make the additional power available to the turboprop user for improved hot day, high altitude performance.
