In 1925, the production of closed-body automobiles boomed. At the same time, attention turned to heating devices and the need to condition the air for passenger comfort. This article discusses the development of automotive heaters: early portable heaters; exhaust gas heaters; hot water heaters; gasoline heaters; electric car heaters; and heating system controls.
