Containers in which spent nuclear plant fuel are stored must remain sealed indefinitely without leakage despite accidents such as fires and shock during transport. Evaluated was allowable gasket leakage by parameterizing cask leakage in long-tern storage and transport. It was confirmed that gasket leakage is lower than the reference by studying leakage in vertical and side deviation, finding that a metallic gasket suits both storage and transport. This report details cask sealing techniques and verification.
