Cybernetix SA, Marseille, FR, has created a pipeline flushing and pigging system aimed at the deepwater market called SAPPS and is operated by remotely operated vehicle (ROV). The SAPPS is a compact light weight subsea flushing and pigging system for deepwater pipelines (up to 2500 m). The SAPPS system is deployed by the vessel's crane to the seabed or being only 1 m high can be connected onto the ROV as a tool-skid. The SAPPS can operate on pipelines with diameters ranging from 101.6 mm to 304.8 mm and can be used for pipe lengths of up to 75 Km for 101.6 mm pipe and up to 8 Km for a 304.8 mm pipe.
