The threat imposed on ordnance containing electro-explosive-devices (EED) by high frequency electromagnetic fields is investigated. Examples for the required immunity levels for ordnance are MIL-STD 464 and STANAG 4234. For ordnance not fulfilling the requirements of the applicable document possibilities of shielding are investigated. As an example the MILAN FIELD OVERSOCK MK 4 which is currently used by the UK Armed Forces in Afghanistan is considered more closely.
