In small satellites low weight and low cost are important factors for a wide range of practical applications. A new algorithm for attitude determination is proposed. In this algorithm, to achieve precise attitude angles a sun tracker and a magnetic tracker are used. Then attitude control with employment of the said attitude determination is combined to stabilize the satellite in transition (the boom is extended) and mono (steady state) and conquers phases. Finally, simulations and practical applications of the proposed algorithm are presented.
