The density function of limiting state overflow time was used for evaluation of device reliability and durability to determine the analytical form of limiting state overflow time distribution. The diagnostic parameters describing the reliability of the system and used for determining the technical and limiting states have to be selected at the very beginning. Then, the changes of the diagnostic parameter have to be described in probabilistic way under influence of a destruction process. During operation of the aircraft engineering machinery, the fatigue deformation of structures, the surface wear of the elements (increase both in clearence and roughness) and the corrosion or ageing take place. The technical state of the objects depends on the value of the selected diagnostic parameter and on the flight number. The density function limiting the state overflow time could be determined as a result of the study.
