The development process of modern high lift actuation systems does heavily rely on sophisticated simulation models that implement a large amount of component characteristics. In order to achieve reliable and representative simulation results the validation of the implemented models is a topic of vital importance This paper introduced the SiVa testrig as a new tool for the performance analysis of high lift system components and improvement of their respective mathematical models. The initial results presented here could proove its ability to directly measure critical friction parameters like breakout and running torque as well as dynamic parameters like backlash and torsional stiffness. Evaluation of the measurement signals requires extensive signal filtering which is performed by manipulation of the signals FFT computed frequency spectrum and subsequent re-transformation into the time domain. The filtered signals as well as the analysis results can then also be used for system identification procedures on existing and new friction model structures, making the testrig a valuable tool for establishing a chain of validated simulation tools for high lift system development.
