In this work we presented a number of ways to help electric vehicle (EV) users in finding public charging spots and to optimize the EV created load in the grid Based on user mobility needs that have been extrapolated to e-mobility we have sketched the design of a routing and reservation service We have shown that by including public transportation alternatives from the charging point to the destination the availability of charging spots drastically increases particularly at low charging station densities Furthermore we have proposed a distributed architecture that allows to perform energy balancing at three levels at the charging station using charge control concepts at the LV grid using grid flow calculation and at the routing area using the brokerage function.
