A satellite-borne computer for attitude and orbit control is being developed. The main parts of the computer are implemented on the radiation hardened gate arrays, and an error correction code is adopted to cope with memory errors. The architecture of the microprocessing unit is similar to that of V30 manufactured by NEC, and can be used in a general purpose computer for spacecraft. The application to the MUSES-A and GEOTAIL spacecraft is decribed here.
