The removal of geopolitical divisions in Europe has led to an increase in cross-border traffic. This in turn means a need for vehicles capable of operation with differing power supply systems. The following describes the traction equipment of the multisystem vehicle of the tilting trains for series 680 for the Czech State Rail (CD). It is designed to operate on lines in the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria. Details of the running characteristics of the vehicle and its main performance data will be given below. The power circuits for the various voltage systems will be described, circuit parameters and the main components introduced. For modern international rail service, vehicles are needed which can draw their power from a range of supply systems with different voltages. Since the volume and the weight of these vehicles are limited, it is necessary to make multiple use of the power components, such as reactors and semiconductors of the converters. In the following, the tilting trains for series 680 will be used to demonstrate the series 680 will be used to demonstrate the design of such a vehicle's power circuit.
