A decision support system for assessing of the pilot's resistance to high-G radial accelerations is described. It uses the achievements in the fields of Pattern Recognition, Artificial Intelligence, Fuzzy Set theory, etc. to cope with the specific constraints and requirements in aviation medicine. The structure of the system as well as the classification rules are empirically determined on the basis of a variety of experiments with retrospectively collected data. Although the system is still at a developmental stage, the preliminary results obtained show a sufficiently high classification accuracy.
