The author considers the application of command and control (C2) in the Pacific Basin, and in the US defense of the Republic of Korea. The United Nations and Combined Forces commands are discussed, and C2 systems are described including conceptual issues, system characteristics and systems acquisition, with individual C2 systems considered.
