The authors have developed a remotely controlled jetting burier, which moves with the hydraulic driving crawlers and is equipped with water-jet nozzles at the tip of the manipulator. The burier is capable of operating up to 200-m deep and the trenching depth is a maximum 2 m depending on the sea bottom conditions. The burier traces the cable by detecting a low-frequency signal applied on the cable. The features and performance of the burier are outlined.
