A modern warship is fitted with a large number of sensors providing information to the command team. To help them assess this bewildering amount of information the author presents Marconi's command support tool (CST). The design of the CST uses an object-oriented approach and is written in the AI language Lisp. The author investigates the simulation and operation of the CST.
